Congleton NWR
Music Music Music ...
a day conference in celebration of all things musical
took place on 24th April 2010.Percussion, salsa, lyric writing, Gilbert and Sullivan and West End musicals were among
the activities enjoyed by around 80 NWR members and friends at Congleton N\WR's first
day conference for more than twenty years.

By the end of the day new friends had been made, many musical facts learned and a new
choir was formed. Louise van de Bours, a veteran or many West End shows, led the
members of her two workshops in the duet I know him so well from Chess in the climax to
a very successful event.

Thanks to the many delegates who emailed us afterwards to say how much they had
appreciated the day:
"
We've
just got back home after our day at Congleton and just
wanted to say how much we enjoyed it all - very well organised,
from the first contact to the arrangements for the day itself. Well
done to every one concerned."
"I'm just back from your wonderful day conference. Please can I
say thank you to all of you for such an entertaining day."

"I MUST tell you here and now how much
we both enjoyed the day
with you; the organisation, the interesting and stimulating speakers,
the food, the table decor, the many coffees to refresh mind and body,
the lovely chats around the table...; kindly convey my thanks to all
your ladies in the Congleton NWR, you spoilt us endlessly, but we
appreciated it more than a humble thank-you can express."
"Congratulations to everyone for the excellent day, we enjoyed
every aspect of it and the time went all too quickly. The speakers
were excellent and so were the workshops ..."
